Terms of Service

By creating an account or otherwise using Why You? ("the platform"), you agree to these terms. If you're accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to do so.

Why You? connects job candidates and hiring companies. Candidates build a profile and verify skills through exams. Companies post roles, review verified applicants, run interviews, and track hires afterward. Some features, like Space and Find People, are broader networking tools on top of that core.

You must be old enough to legally seek employment, or for a company account, to enter into a binding agreement, in your jurisdiction. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account and for keeping your login secure. Company accounts go through domain and registration verification before they can post roles. Providing false verification information is a violation of these terms.

Represent yourself honestly. That means accurate profile information, your own work in Projects and Achievements, and your own performance on skill exams. Don't create multiple accounts to retake exams or inflate a score.

Proctored exams require live camera and screen share access for the duration of the exam, plus a short room scan and a few disclaimers you confirm before starting, covering an appropriate environment, no unauthorized materials or devices, and showing any reference paper to the camera first. We do not record or store the camera or screen feed. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what that means.

If the camera or screen share is interrupted during a proctored exam, that attempt is marked as invalidated and won't count as a verified result. Attempting to bypass or spoof the proctoring requirements is a violation of these terms and may result in exam results being voided or the account being suspended.

Use candidate information only for legitimate hiring purposes related to your own open roles. Don't use the platform to scrape, resell, or redistribute candidate data, and don't contact candidates outside the platform using information obtained here without their consent.

Space is a shared feed. Don't post content that's harassing, discriminatory, spam, or unlawful. You retain ownership of what you post, but grant us the license needed to display it on the platform. Find People visibility is opt in per candidate. If you're browsing it, use it to find and follow people in good faith, not to scrape profile data in bulk.

The platform is currently free to use. We may introduce paid features in the future, for example premium skill verification options. If we do, pricing and billing terms will be presented clearly before you're charged anything, and using free features won't require payment.

The Why You? name, branding, and underlying software belong to us. You keep ownership of content you upload, including resumes, profile content, and posts, subject to the license needed to operate the features you use them in.

You can delete your account at any time from account settings, with a 24 hour grace period before deletion is final. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, including exam integrity violations or misuse of candidate or company data.

The platform is provided as is. We don't guarantee that verified skills, match scores, or any other signal on the platform predicts job performance or hiring outcomes. They're inputs to your decision, not a substitute for your own judgment.

To the extent permitted by law, Why You? isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including hiring or employment decisions made using information from it.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Assam, India.

We may update these terms as the product evolves. We will update the last updated date above when we do. Material changes will be communicated more directly where appropriate.
